Mahindra XUV700 Javelin Edition: Information currently known

Mahindra recently registered the name “Javelin” as a trademark. Today, Mahindra and Mahindra Chairman Anand Mahindra confirmed via Twitter that the name will be used for the upcoming special edition of the XUV700 SUV. In a tweet directed at Pratap Bose, the chief design officer of the automotive and agricultural sector, Mahindra & Mahindra, asked him to build three XUV700 Javelin Edition SUVs.

The first device of the XUV700 Javelin Edition will be handed over to Neeraj Chopra, who won the javelin gold medal for India at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Neeraj is the second Indian to win a gold medal at the Olympic Games after Abhinav Bindra won the 10 million air rifle shooting championship at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

The second unit of XUV700 Javelin Edition will pay tribute to Avani Lekhara, who is now the first woman in Indian history to win a gold medal at the Paralympic Games. She participated in the women’s 10m air rifle SH1 competition. The third unit of XUV700 Javelin Edition will be given to ParalympianSumitAntil, who won the gold medal in the Paralympic Javelin Throwing event.

Although the difference between the XUV700 Javelin Edition and the standard version is not elaborated, we expect these unique XUV700 SUVs to undergo subtle appearance adjustments or special paint tones.
