Volkswagen’s Polo and Vento models are currently in great demand, and they have been waiting for up to five months across the country. However, this only applies to certain variants of the two models.

Volkswagen Polo, Vento waiting period
Currently, Volkswagen Polo Trendline MPI, Comfortline TSI MT, Highline Plus TSI MT, Highline Plus TSI AT and GT TSI AT models all require a waiting period of up to 5 months. Similarly, for Vento, the Highline TSI MT variant has a five-month waiting period.
In addition, Volkswagen dealers also stopped accepting bookings for Polo Comfortline MPI and Comfortline TSI AT variants, as well as Vento Comfortline TSI MT and Highline Plus TSI MT. The manufacturer is likely to have a backlog of orders for these variants, and therefore has instructed its distributors to stop bookings. However, once the backlog is cleared, the order book for these variants is expected to reopen.
Volkswagen Polo, Vento: engine and gearbox
The Volkswagen Polo has two gasoline engines to choose from. The basic engine is a 76-horsepower, 1.0-liter, three-cylinder MPI engine, which is only used with a 6-speed manual transmission. This engine is only suitable for entry-level Trendline and Comfortline interiors.
Another engine option is a 110-horsepower, 1.0-liter, three-cylinder TSI turbo gasoline engine, which can be equipped with a 6-speed manual or torque converter automatic transmission. Vento is only available for this TSI engine and shares the same gearbox options with Polo.
