This Volkswagen Polo The automatic transmission option is now available for the mid-spec Comfortline models, priced at 851,000 rupees (in front of the Indian showroom). The 6-speed automatic transmission was previously only used for upper trims, including Highline Plus and GT TSI.
- Comfortline is now available for MPI MT, TSI MT and TSI AT power systems
- In addition to the basic trend line, all changes are reflected in the TSI AT option

Volkswagen Polo Comfortline TSI AT: engine and gearbox
When Polo was updated to the BS6 specification last year, the entry-level Trendline and Comfortline interiors were only equipped with a 76-horsepower, 1.0-liter, three-cylinder MPI engine. The 110-horsepower, 1.0-liter, three-cylinder TSI mill is exclusively for Highline Plus and GT TSI variants.
In February of this year, Volkswagen launched Polo TSI Turbo EditionBased on the Comfortline interior, it introduces a TSI power system with a manual gearbox for the mid-size Polo. This was later replaced by the standard Comfortline TSI MT version. Volkswagen has now added an automatic option for this variant.
Volkswagen Polo Comfortline TSI AT: Features
Polo Comfortline is equipped with 15-inch alloy wheels, front and rear fog lights, cooling glove box, 2-DIN audio system, height-adjustable driver’s seat, tilt and telescopic steering, remote locking, and rear defogger and wiper. Volkswagen also exclusively provides automatic climate control and Sapphire music system as standard equipment, with TSI AT version decoration.
In terms of safety, this variant is equipped with dual airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, high-speed alarms and seat belt reminders.
Volkswagen Polo Comfortline TSI AT: Competitor
With the launch of the new model, Polo potential customers can now buy automatic transmissions at a lower price, and the price of the Highline Plus AT is nearly 100,000 rupees higher, or 960,000 rupees.
In terms of competitors, Tata Altroz iTurbo (794-90.6 lakh rupees*) and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Turbo (Rs 783-788 lakh*) missed the automatic transmission.
This Hyundai i20 Turbo (Rs 881-113.4 lakh*) does come with the DCT option, but the price of the automatic variant starts at Rs 1.06.8 lakh.
Although the Volkswagen Polo TSI AT managed to beat its competitors in price, it could not hide its vintage in terms of equipment.Therefore, the German profession is evaluating Next-generation Polo for India In the next few years.
