Earlier this month, vivo launched the Y21T, a rebranded Y21 with a different chipset, and a few days later it launched the Y21T in India with a larger display, higher refresh rate and less RAM. Now, the company is further expanding its Y-series smartphone portfolio with the Y33.

The vivo Y33T is actually a version of the Indian Y21T with more RAM (8GB + 4GB virtual), a higher resolution selfie camera (16MP) and a 60Hz screen. The rest of the specs remain the same, which means you get a Snapdragon 680 SoC, 6.58″ FullHD+ LCD, Funtouch OS 12, and 128GB of storage, expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.

vivo doesn’t mention the Android version on the Y33T, but we think it runs Android 11 like the Indian Y21T. In addition, the company is promoting the vivo Y33T on its official India website as India’s first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 680. website,This is not correct.

The vivo Y33T comes with a side-mounted fingerprint reader and comes with a 5,000 mAh battery that can be charged at up to 18W via the USB-C port. It comes in two colour options – Mirror Black and Midday Dream.
