The iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro arrived in China earlier this month. They were the first vivo devices to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, and consumers unsurprisingly cleared the first batch within 10 seconds.
According to iQOO, the sales revenue exceeded 100 million yuan ($15.7 million/€13.8), which means that around 20,000 phones were pushed during the pop-up event.
The iQOO 9 offers 120W fast charging out of the box for the 4,700 mAh battery and the new OriginOS Ocean. It’s priced between 3,999 yuan ($630) and 4,799 yuan ($755), depending on the memory combination. The Pro brothers bring an improved screen and camera, but also cost more — between 4,999 yuan ($785) and 599 yuan ($950).

Sales in China are expected to remain strong, while tomorrow we’ll hear more about the global launch, starting in India.
