Earlier this month, TCL announced a slew of new devices at CES 2022, one of which is the TCL 30 V 5G — a mid-range 5G smartphone. TCL didn’t announce any pricing and availability details at the time, but today Verizon is starting to sell the device for $300 with a single 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage in a midnight gray finish.
The TCL 30 V features a 6.67-inch IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution and a punch-hole cutout for the 16MP selfie camera. Thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset, it supports mmWave and C-Band 5G for optimal high-speed coverage. On the camera side, you get a 50MP main shooter, a 5MP ultra-wide snapper, and a 2MP macro camera. There’s a 4,500mAh battery with 18W charging, the software front is covered by the old Android 11, and there’s TCL UI on top.
We had the opportunity to tackle 30 V 5G at TCL’s CES booth, and you can check out our quick impressions here.
