Hyundai i20 N Line-Powertrain and mechanical upgrade

With the i20 N Line for enthusiasts, let’s start with the content under the hood.Hyundai’s i20 N Line is only equipped with a 120-horsepower, 172-Nm, 1.0-liter turbo-gasoline engine, which is already available in Regular i20. The engine is matched with a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The DCT transmission is now also equipped with paddle shifters to increase driver involvement. Hyundai once again missed the opportunity to introduce a manual transmission with a turbo gasoline engine on the i20.

Fortunately, there are some significant mechanical upgrades that differentiate it from regular models. The i20 N Line has a sportier exhaust sound, thanks to the new double-pointed exhaust pipe at the rear. The suspension has been adjusted for a more sporty setting, ensuring better handling and a more stable drive around the corners. Hyundai also claims to improve the center steering feel of the i20 N Line. A major upgrade also includes rear disc brakes to provide better braking power, while the standard i20 is only equipped with front disc brakes.

The main topic of i20 N Line is styling, it looks really lively. On the front, it has a more sporty two-tone bumper with a deep fog lamp cover and a new front splitter. At the rear, the i20 N Line has a sports bumper with a protruding diffuser and dual exhaust pipes, a tailgate spoiler with flanks and a dark chrome trim that connects the two taillight units.
