Earlier last week, Tata Motors roll out Dark version of multiple models, Including Tata Altroz.s price Tata altroz The dark version starts at Rs 871,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is only available for the fully loaded gasoline XZ+ variant, which is about 30,000 rupees more expensive than the standard gasoline Altroz XZ+. Below is a quick overview of the internal and external details of Altroz Dark Edition.
- Tata Altroz Dark Edition is equipped with 1.2-liter NA and turbo gasoline engine
- The equipment list is the same as the standard XZ+ model
- Tata Altroz Dark Edition is not available for diesel engine option
Tata Altroz Dark Edition: Everything turns black
On the outside, the Altroz Dark Edition is painted with what Tata Motors calls Cosmo Dark paint, which looks very concealed in this shade. Even the words “Altroz” on the 16-inch alloy wheels and tailgate were blacked out. By the way, the bright black trim below the window line loses contrast on the Altroz Dark Edition. Nevertheless, the all-black appearance is indeed very eye-catching.
Tata Altroz Dark Edition: chrome-plated dash increases contrast
To further add interest to the design, Tata retained some of the standard Altroz chrome trim in this dark version. This includes prominent chrome trim around the grille and headlights and additional chrome trim on the rearview mirrors. There is also a chrome-plated “#Dark” badge on the front fender. These chrome highlights break the visual quality of the Altroz Dark Edition and provide some much-needed contrast.
Tata AltrozDark Edition interior: interior and dashboard
Although the interior of the standard Altroz is finished with mixed colors and textures, the dark version will naturally be treated in full black. The seats are now completely black, with the words “Dark” engraved on the headrest. The entire lower part of the cabin (light gray in the standard Altroz) has also been blacked out. The glossy gray trim on the dashboard has been replaced with the new glossy black trim. Even the satin trim on the steering wheel and around the center console was blacked out.
Tata Altroz Dark Edition: Ambient Lightning brings premium appearance

What we really like about the interior of the Altroz Dark Edition is the ambient lighting around the dashboard, thanks to the full black treatment. The blue ambient lightning creates a beautiful floating effect on the glossy black dashboard, giving a high-end feel. Like the chrome trim on the outside, Ambient Lightning also adds some much-needed contrast to the all-black interior.
Tata Altroz Dark Edition: Powertrain options and prices
The Altroz dark version is equipped with an 86-horsepower 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine or a more powerful 110-horsepower 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine-both equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission. Interestingly, the Dark Edition treatment does not apply to 1.5-liter diesel engines. Altroz Dark Edition XZ+ is priced at 871,000 rupees (ex-showroom). At the same time, Altroz Dark Edition XZ+ iTurbo is priced at 936,000 rupees (ex-showroom).
