Suzuki is preparing a more affordable version of the popular Jimny SUV. This new variant will be called Suzuki Jimny Lite and will be launched first in Australia. We will tell you more about it.
- Suzuki Jimny Lite will miss some devices
- Equipped with the same 1.5-liter gasoline engine
- Will be made in Japan, initially sold in Australia
Suzuki Jimny Lite: What’s the difference?
Jimny Lite will have some of the standard features and equipment removed on Jimny Sierra currently sold globally. Jimny Lite will not provide alloy wheels, but black steel wheels. It will also omit the SmartPlay infotainment system, but will be equipped with a 2-DIN audio system, similar to the Maruti Suzuki mid-size model that we sell on the market. Jimny Lite also lacks fog lamps and projector headlights.
There will be no mechanical changes, which means that Jimny Lite will be equipped with the same 102hp 1.5-liter gasoline, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. It will also be equipped with standard four-wheel drive gears, including low gear, just like the more expensive SUV version.
Suzuki Jimny Lite: Availability
Jimny Lite will be manufactured in Japan and will be launched in Australia and other markets first, and will go on sale in August this year.
As far as India is concerned, Maruti Suzuki has manufactured Jimny Sierra and exported it to multiple international markets. A facelift with more functions and a changed appearance, as well as the long-awaited five-door body style, is under development and will see the light in the future.Read more about Here.
