For some time now, Samsung has been happy to release its monthly security patches for certain devices before the start of the relevant month. It’s not always the same phone or even series, so it all seems random, but almost every month at least one phone or family is lucky enough to get next month’s security update…today.
Yes, today is one of those days. Even though we’re still in January, with February still a few days away, the South Korean company can’t wait to release the February update for the Galaxy Note20 and Note20 Ultra. For now, this only appears to be rolling out in the Netherlands, but will undoubtedly soon affect other European countries.
The new version is identified as N98xxXXU3EVA9, where “xx” varies depending on the specific model of either of your phones. Unfortunately, there is currently no changelog available.
As usual, if you haven’t received an update notification (and your phone was purchased from the Netherlands), you can go to Settings and access the Software Update menu to try forcing a manual check.
