Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S8 series is expected to be available in at least three versions – the vanilla Tab S8, Tab S8+ and the high-end Tab S8 Ultra.The Intermediate Model Plus model is the subject of a series of detailed renderings by @Technizo Concept Display the design and its two colors.
The Galaxy Tab S8+ will carry over from the current Tab S7+ and will make minor changes to its design. Two colours are shown here – grey and bronze. Dimensions are said to remain at 285 x 185 x 5.7mm.
The Tab S8+ will feature a Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate and 2,800 x 1,752 pixel resolution. The upcoming Tab S7+ will have a 12.4-inch diagonal, but the latest spec leak suggests that the Tab S8+ will offer a slightly larger 12.7-inch screen area. There’s no notch here — that’s reserved for the Ultra model. The fingerprint sensor is said to be integrated under the screen.
A dual-camera setup will be available on the back, which is expected to be shared by all three Tab S8 tablets. It will consist of a 13MP main cam and a 6MP ultra-wide snapper. The selfie shooter is said to be 12MP. The rear camera cutout will extend through a black magnetic strip that will snap onto the S Pen stylus.
All three Tab S8 models will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and will feature One UI 4 on top of Android 12.
The base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage Wi-Fi-only model is expected to start at €900, while an extra €50 should get you 256GB of storage. The 5G model starts at €1,050 for the 8/128GB version and €1,100 for the 8/256GB version.
According to the latest reports, we expect an announcement on February 9, which should coincide with the launch of the Galaxy S22 series.
