Realme 9i debuts in India, goes on sale on January 22 -Techweu


The Realme 9i was unveiled last week and today it made its debut in India. It’s available in Prism Black and Prism Blue – 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB, priced at Rs 13,999 ($190/€165) and Rs 15,999 ($215/€190) respectively. You can buy it through Realme.com and select partner retailers starting January 22.

The Realme 9i is powered by the Snapdragon 680 SoC and runs Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 out of the box. It’s built around a 6.6-inch FullHD+ 90Hz LCD, protected by DragonTrail Pro glass, and has a punch hole in the upper left corner for the 16MP selfie camera.

The rear panel of the Realme 9i features a stereo prism design and is home to a camera system consisting of a 50MP main, 2MP macro and 2MP depth units.

Other highlights of the Realme 9i include stereo speakers, high-resolution audio, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB-C.

The Realme 9i also comes with a dedicated microSD card slot to expand the storage up to 1TB, and you also get the Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) feature, which allows you to virtually expand the RAM by 3GB on the 4GB RAM model and 3GB on the 5GB Expand the 6GB version on the top. However, DRE will not be available out of the box and will be available via OTA later.

Fueling the entire package is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33W Dart Charge and is advertised to go from full to 100% in 70 minutes.
