Range Rover Velar receives 2021 update; price starts at Rs 7.987 lakh

This Range Rover Starburst It has been updated for the 2021 model year, bringing more equipment, an updated infotainment system and a more powerful diesel engine. The updated SUV is now priced at 7.987 million rupees (in the former showroom in India), and continues to provide only the R-Dynamic S trim level, and the 2021 model has begun to be delivered.

2021 Range Rover Velar: What’s new?

Starting from the mechanical device, a notable change in Velar is a more powerful diesel engine. Although it is still a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the new device can now output 204 horsepower-an increase from 180 horsepower, but the torque remains the same at 430 Nm. The new unit also has mild hybrid technology.

At the same time, the gasoline engine is the same 250-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. Both engines are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive as standard.

Another significant mechanical change of the luxury SUV is the inclusion of air suspension, which will help improve the ride quality of the SUV.

Entering the cabin, Velar is now equipped with Jaguar Land Rover’s latest Pivi Pro infotainment system. Other new technologies offered include a 360-degree camera-which previously had only a rear-view camera, active road noise cancellation and PM 2.5 filters for the cabin air ionization system.

2021 Range Rover Velar: Competitor

The updated Range Rover Velar will continue to compete with luxury SUVs such as Jaguar F-Pace, Mercedes GLE Coupe and BMW X6.
