Vivo’s flagship product launched in October, but we feel the vivo X70 Pro still deserves its own video review. The high-end mid-range lacks some things like an IP rating, Gorilla Glass protection, and stereo speakers, but makes up for it with a versatile camera setup and impressive screen, both of which are generally above this price range.
The screen is a 6.56-inch display with curved edges to help reduce size and make it easier to operate. The panel has Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. In addition to having excellent color accuracy, the X70 Pro has one of the brightest displays we’ve tested.
On the back, the quad-camera setup proves to be great for all-around shots, and there’s even a periscope camera — unheard of for a phone of this type. The coating on the rear glass panel gets a brownie point, feels very premium and resists smudges.
The X70 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, which is pretty good considering it’s not exactly a Snapdragon 888 on raw numbers. The Funtouch 12 is also smooth and snappy. Battery life is also excellent, with its 4,450 mAh battery and Flash Charge fully charging the phone in about an hour.
