Oppo released the Reno7 smartphone in late November, and the devices finally made their way outside of China. The first stop on their global journey will be India, as the local department plans to hold a launch event on February 4.
We’ll see at least two phones as the Oppo Reno7 Pro is the hero device in all the promo shots, and the vanilla Reno7 could be an affordable alternative, but we’re waiting to see if the cheaper Reno7 SE will make its way too India.
The Oppo Reno7 Pro launched with a 50MP main camera and a Sony IMX766 sensor behind an f/1.8 lens. The selfie shooter is the same as the non-Pro, at 32MP, with a world-first Sony IMX709 sensor that should offer “DSLR-like portrait quality” and a feature called Bokeh Flair Portrait Video.
Other highlight specs of the Reno7 series are the Pro’s 65W fast charging and the vanilla version’s 60W rate. The series features an AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and a full-screen fingerprint scanner.
A source suggested that the Oppo Reno7 could be priced in the range of Rs 28,000 to 31,000, while the Reno7 Pro could be priced between Rs 41,000 and 43,000. We’ll have to wait another ten days for the release to find out if these prices are real.
