Prior to its release on September 27, 2021, the new Force Gurkha has been announced in the final production specifications. The company stated that deliveries of the SUV will begin on October 15.

New Force Gurkha: What’s new?
It is obvious from the show car that although the entire body shell is new, the design of the new Gurkha is similar to that of the upcoming model. Notable styling changes include new grilles, bumpers, light clusters, larger rear passenger windows — the company calls panoramic windows — and a larger rear windshield to improve rear visibility. Hardware such as snorkels is standard at the factory. With the new instrument panel, touch screen infotainment system and front-facing second-row captain seats, the cabin has undergone more significant changes.
compared to Cars at Auto Expo 2020, The mass-produced SUV has some appearance differences, such as the front grille spelled out Gurkha in the position of the Force logo and the 4x4x4 badge on the front fender. At the same time internally, the color theme has shifted from the two-tone cabin of the show car to a single-tone dark gray.
New Force Gurkha: engine and power system details
Turning to the more mechanical aspect of Gurkha, many machinery seems to be inherited from its predecessor. Although the chassis is brand new to make Gurkha comply with the latest safety regulations, the company has upgraded the old 2.6-liter diesel to meet BS6 regulations. The device outputs 91 horsepower and 250 Nm, and is equipped with a 5-pseed manual transmission. The 140-horsepower 2.2-liter diesel engine of the previous Gurkha Xtreme has been eliminated. As before, Gurkha gets four-wheel drive with low range and manual locking front and rear differentials.
The suspension settings also remain unchanged, with independent double wishbones at the front and multi-link settings at the rear. However, the company said it has been re-adjusted to improve ride quality.You can read about how to New Gurkha Drive in our review.
Force claims that Gurkha can drive on slopes of up to 35 degrees with 4WD engaged, with a wading depth of 700 mm, thanks to the snorkel.
New Force Gurkha: What are its characteristics?
To make Gurkha more attractive, Force Motors tried to add more equipment. The touch screen mentioned earlier is such a kit, which is equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and supports calls via Bluetooth. Other comfort-oriented features include tilt and telescopic steering, independent armrests for rear seats, USB charging sockets for all four passengers, power windows, central lock, air conditioning, LED headlights with DRL, fog Lights and turning lights.
In terms of safety, Gurkha complies with current regulations and is equipped with dual airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat fixtures and even a tire pressure monitoring system.
New Power Gurkha: Competitor
Like its main competitor, the new Mahindra Thar, Force Motors has pushed to make Gurkha a more lifestyle-oriented vehicle rather than its more naked predecessor. Gurkha will also provide a series of accessories for buyers interested in customizing SUVs.
