The Motorola Edge X30 was announced in China last month to run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, and the phone is likely to hit global markets soon, as evidenced by its new NBTC certification.
However, the documents show that the phone will change its name before going abroad. The document says “Motorola Edge 30 Pro” instead of Edge X30.We know it’s the same phone because its model number is XT2201-1 compared to X30 XT2201-2. The number after the dash usually indicates a regional version of the same phone, and the same goes for these two phones.
The listing has no further details, but of course the Edge X30 is official, so we don’t know much about it. What’s missing is availability dates and pricing for global markets, and we wish Motorola had given us that information sooner rather than later.
