MG One SUV teased before debut on July 30

Before its debut on July 30, 2021, MG has already previewed the One SUV that will be launched for the global market. The company said that MG One will adopt a new modular platform and will further enhance its design and technical strength.

MG One SUV: Design

MG stated that the One SUV follows a “radical and sporty design philosophy”, which is evident in the preview image. The nose is characterized by a low-position wide grille, sharp headlights on both sides, obvious creases on the hood, and an L-shaped cutout on the front bumper. Viewed from the side, this SUV has design elements similar to a coupe, with the roof tapered back and down. Adding to the appearance is the prominent hips, around the wheel arches and lower doors, and sporty dual-tone wheels. On the back, the image shows a spoiler mounted on the roof and stylish taillights with LED elements.

MG One SUV: Platform and Technology

In addition to being built on the new SIGMA modular architecture, MG also revealed many details about its upcoming global SUV. The company calls it an “all-in-one” architecture, implying that the architecture will be used in multiple products in the future.

MG also revealed that this SUV will use “advanced electric architecture”, “active digital ecosystem” and “core software technology”-suggesting that the SUV can be equipped with the latest features: from semi-automatic technology to the latest infotainment and connected car technology .

The details of the power system have not been disclosed yet.

MG Motor India: What will happen next

Coming to MG India, the next market is expected to be gasoline derivatives of ZS EV.The new SUV (which will be the facelifted ZS for sale on the international market) will adopt updated styling and is expected to be Relabeled as Astor, To distinguish it from ZS EV.

Coming to MG One, there is currently no news about the SUV being considered for launch in India.
