MG Gloster Savvy 7-seater car launched, priced at 37.28 million rupees

Top specifications MG Gloucester Savvy now offers a seven-seater configuration. The seven-seat Gloster Savvy is priced at Rs 3,728,000 (ex-showroom), which is positioned on par with the Savvy six-seater and equipped with the same equipment as the latter.

MG stated that the launch of the new version is based on receiving inquiries from potential customers.

MG Gloster Savvy Sevens: What’s new?

In short, apart from the seat configuration, there is almost nothing new. Since its launch, the fully loaded Gloster Savvy has only been offered as a six-seater with a row of captain’s chairs in the middle. But buyers can now choose to use the fully loaded model as a seven-seater with a bench in the middle row.

MG Gloster Savvy seven-seater: equipment

Like the six-seater, the Savvy seven-seater has all the bells and whistles, including ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking.

Comfort and convenience features provided include panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, electric and heated driver and co-pilot seats, driver’s seat memory, ventilation and massage driver’s seat, electric tailgate with hands-free opening, 64-color ambient lighting, 12.3-inch touch screen, equipped with i-Smart networked car technology, etc.

The safety package includes six airbags, ABS, ESP, traction control, 360-degree camera, hill start assist and hill descent control, front and rear parking sensors, etc.

MG Gloster Savvy seven-seater: engine

The department has not changed either. The seven-seater uses the existing 218 horsepower, 480 Nm, 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged diesel engine, with an 8-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.

MG Gloster: Competitor

MG Gloster competes with other full-size ladder frame SUVs, such as Toyota Fortune, Ford Endeavour, Mahindra Alturas and Isuzu MU-X.

MG’s next major launch in India is expected to be Astor SUV rivaling Creta. Essentially a modified version of the ZS SUV Astor Expected to arrive in September 2021.
