Albert mixed a magnesium-silver exterior paint, similar to the color worn by Speedtail’s F1 ancestors when it was launched at the 1992 Monaco Grand Prix, and Ueno Gray, which represented the F1 GTR’s victory in the 1995 Le Mans 24 Hours. The car also received a unique streamlined paint to highlight the paint finish that took 12 weeks to build.

This car was named Albert after the 1992 McLaren F1 test mule, which was named after Albert Avenue in Woking, where Gordon Murray’s pioneering supercar was designed and built .
The original MVY02 Speedtail prototype was also named Albert to pay homage to its predecessor. The prototype was originally made with a 720S front panel and was the first Speedtail to run on public roads.
“The name Albert has a special resonance with MSO because we are the custodians of McLaren F1 and are headquartered on Albert Avenue, which McLaren Motor Company occupied in the 1990s,” said Ansar Ali, managing director of MSO .
“The Speedtail experience is exciting for our customers, from imagining their imagination to realizing these inspirations, and sharing their joy when uncovering the finished product. Albert finished this project and we are very happy to be able to complete it with a high profile. “
