Hyundai Alcazar Platinum (O): What’s new?
Platinum (O) decoration is a new feature, where (O) represents the automatic version, which is a seven-seat bench layout. The price of this new variant is 15,000 rupees lower than the six-seater Platinum (O), and it is the only automatic transmission that offers six or seven-seater layout flexibility.
The new seven-seater variant is equipped with all the equipment provided as standard with medium specification platinum (O) decoration. This includes 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch car infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, 64-color ambient lighting, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, Bose sound system, 360-degree camera, and more.
However, in the seven-seat layout, Alcazar Platinum (O) has lost the floor-standing center console, which is equipped with a wireless charger, cup holder and storage box, just like the six-seat version.
Alcazar’s 1.5-liter diesel engine outputs 115 horsepower and 250 Nm, which is used in conjunction with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Hyundai Alcazar Platinum (O) Seven Seats: Competitors
Hyundai Alcazar’s competitors Tata Wildlife Park with MG HectorgaCompared with Alcazar, Tata Safari’s mid-size seven-seater XTA+ interior is priced at Rs 2.009 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Safari also offers a diesel-AT power system, although it is not as feature-rich as modern ones.
At the same time, MG Hector Plus diesel does not have an automatic transmission option. However, for a price similar to Alcazar, one can choose the penultimate Hector Plus Select decoration, which has a seven-seat layout and sells for 1.921 lakh rupees (exhibition hall in Delhi). The top-spec Hector Plus Sharp has only six seats. Even Hector Plus Select is not as feature-rich as Alcazar Platinum (O).
