Jaguar Land Rover announced that the new Land Rover Defender 90 is now on sale in India. The base 2.0-liter petrol for a luxury SUV starts at Rs 7,657,000 (in front of the Indian showroom), and the 3.0-liter diesel Defender X starts at Rs 112 crore.

Land Rover originally announced the prices of Defender 90 and Defender 110 when it started booking last year, and then shared Prices updated at launch In October. However, the automaker said at the time that the delivery of the Defender 90 would only begin in 2021.
Land Rover Defender 90: What you need to know
The short-wheelbase three-door Defender 90 of the reborn Defender has a length of 4,583 mm and a wheelbase of 2,587 mm-compared with the 110, the length and wheelbase have been reduced by approximately 435 mm. The difference with the 110 is that it is equipped with three rows of seats. The 90 can be used as a standard configuration with 5 seats, and front seats can also be installed as an option.
Defender 90 has three derivative versions: Standard Edition, X-Dynamic and Defender X. The main difference between the standard version of Defender and X-Dynamic lies in the appearance, while the top Defender X not only has a difference in appearance, but also contains more technology focused on off-road.
The standard Defender has four variants-Base, S, SE and HSE, while X-Dynamic has S, SE and HSE variants. The equipment list is almost the same.
Land Rover Defender 90: Engine and powertrain options
Defender 90 offers three engine options, and all models are equipped with four-wheel drive. The entry-level device is a 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine that can produce 300 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. The second is a larger 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo gasoline, which can output more powerful 400 horsepower and 550 Nm. The third engine option is the only diesel engine available-a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine suitable for 300 horsepower and 650 Nm. An 8-speed automatic transmission is standard.
Land Rover Defender 90: Competitor
Defender 90 has no direct competitors in the market, but may compete with Jeep Wrangler and become a niche 4×4 product.
