Two months ago, the Indian Reliance Conglomerate announced JioPhone Next, an entry-level smartphone built in collaboration with Google. Scheduled to launch on September 10, it promises to be India’s most affordable smartphone. I haven’t heard much since the device was announced, as XDA’s Mishaal Rahman revealed the key specs for Next via Twitter.

The phone comes with a 1440×720 resolution display and Qualcomm’s entry-level 215 chipset, which is also included in Nokia 1.4. RAM is provided in 2GB, but the software division is covered by Android 11 (Go Edition). Rahman also confirmed that Google’s CameraGo and DuoGo apps were pre-installed on the phone. And it would be interesting to see if Google contributed to other exclusive optimizations for Next. The front camera is offered at 8MP and the single rear shooter features a 13MP OmniVision OV13B10 sensor.
