2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA: Design

In appearance, the second-generation GLA SUV is very different from the model it replaces. The exterior styling has smoother and smoother lines than the old model, while still having a sturdy design-black cladding is all over the SUV. Overall, the new GLA is obviously larger and more robust than the predecessor. However, it is not only larger in appearance, because the new GLA is 104 mm taller than the previous generation and has a 30 mm longer wheelbase. This resulted in more interior space, especially at the rear, which was not available in previous models.

The AMG variant has gained some design details that help distinguish it from regular opponents. These include the Panamericana grille with prominent vertical slats, a new roof spoiler, larger wheels and larger exhaust pipes. It also carries the GLA 35 and the AMG badge on the rear.
