Hyundai Verna S+ and SX: wireless smartphone connection
As we all know, in addition to Verna’s basic E model, Hyundai also provides Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support for all models. This model does not have a factory-installed infotainment system as standard equipment. The S+ and SX interiors have an 8.0-inch touch screen unit, while the fully loaded SX(O) models are equipped with a higher-spec 8.0-inch AVN unit with an HD display, and are bundled with BlueLink connected car technology.
In the recent update, Hyundai has now upgraded the infotainment system of the S+ and SX interiors to support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The same content does not extend to the fully loaded SX(O) trim, which still requires a wired connection to achieve smart phone integration. Interestingly, this is not the first mass market for Hyundai to get this feature. The mid-range i20 Sportz is also equipped with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The rest of the equipment list for the mid-size sedan remains unchanged. S continues to be packaged in kits, such as dual airbags, ABS, front USB charger, dual tone steel wheels, manual AC, Armyys audio system, and cooled glove box. SX adds some functions, such as wireless phone charger, cruise control system, projector headlights, automatic headlights, alloy wheels, sunroofs, automatic dimming rearview mirrors and rearview cameras.
Launched Hyundai Verna 1.5 Gasoline S+
The Verna series has also added a 1.5 gasoline S+ variant. The S+ interior was previously only available for 1.5-liter diesel engines, and gasoline was only available for low-spec S models. The main difference between the two variants is the size of the hub, the S+ 195/55 R16 unit is larger, while the S’185/65 R15 is larger. The Verna 1.5 gasoline S+ is priced at 9.6 million rupees.

The engine and gearbox options also remain unchanged, choosing 115 horsepower, 1.5 liters of naturally aspirated gasoline, 115 hp, 1.5 liters of turbocharged diesel and 120 hp, 1.0 liters of turbocharged gasoline mill. 1.5 gasoline can be equipped with 6-speed manual or CVT device, while diesel can be equipped with 6-speed manual or automatic torque converter. Turbocharged gasoline can only be used with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
