Honor decided to start this year strongly, confirming the release date of its first foldable smartphone.
Honor Magic V will be launched in China at 11:30 AM UTC on January 10. The event will be streamed online, and once the time is right, we will make sure to share it with you.
The foldable phone will similarly fold horizontally, similar to Galazy Z Fold3. We can see from the promotional images that the cover display will have a punch hole for the selfie camera, while the main camera setup on the back will have three units. There is also a dual LED flash and some light and PDAF sensors.
Honor Magic V is officially confirmed as the first foldable product equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which also makes it the first true flagship of its own brand in 2022. Rumors also suggest 66W fast charging and Android 12 out of the box. Honor will not say a word to GMS because the event is in China, but if Magic V enters the global market, it will undoubtedly support Google services.
