Hennessey Mammoth 1000 TRX: Upgrade
The Mammoth 1000 TRX uses a significantly upgraded version of the supercharged Hellcat V8 engine of the Ram 1500 TRX. Hennessey installed a new high-flow supercharger, fuel injector and sensing system, and also redesigned the calibration of the device. In addition to increasing the power output to 1,026hp, the torque is also increased to 1,314Nm.
Hennessey claims that these modifications allow the Mammoth 1000 TRX to achieve a 0-96kph sprint in 3.2 seconds, and a quarter mile time of 11.4 seconds. It will be offered in two stages, with higher-level models having a wider range of upgrades, including a crankcase ventilation system and a high-flow filtration system.
As part of the kit, other upgrades include custom bumpers, LED lights, front leveling kits, 20-inch wheels and up to 37-inch off-road tires, designed to add more presence and performance. They stretch the dimensions of the Mammoth 1000 TRX to a length of 5,811 mm, a width of 2,090 mm and a height of 1,970 mm.
The truck can accommodate 6 adults, can carry a payload of 1,043 kg, and can tow a load of 3,942 kg.
Hennessy Mammoth 1000 TRX: Availability
Mammoth TRX 100 is priced at approximately US$150,000 (approximately Rs 111 crore), including spot TRX pickups. Hennessey said the truck can be used by “customers in the U.S. and around the world.”
This Texas company is well-known for its supercar series, including the upcoming launch at speeds of over 500 kilometers per hour Venom F5, Will produce 200 new pickup trucks for the US market, and said it has received more than half of the orders.
Turning to the Indian market, the only way to obtain one of these pickups is to import it privately, because neither Dodge nor Hennessy has operations in India.
