BMW M5 Competition facelift launched in India; priced at 1.62 crore

This BMW M5 competition The facelift has been launched in India at a price of 1.62 crore rupees (except for the Indian showroom). This makes the updated M5 approximately Rs 700,000 more expensive than the upcoming car, which is priced at Rs 155 crore (ex-showroom).

2021 BMW M5 Competition: What has changed?

Starting from the appearance, the updated M5 has been modified in line with the recent style Launched 5 series facelift, Full of modified grille, new Laserlight headlights with L-shaped DRL and modified taillights. Compared with the M5 before the facelift, the car also has an improved bumper, a new apron and diffuser design at the rear, and an improved exhaust pipe. Buyers can choose from three 20-inch alloy wheels.

In the cabin, the biggest change is the infotainment system, the car is now equipped with a larger 12.3-inch touch screen and the latest iDrive system, and supports wireless Android Auto and application CarPlay connection.

BMW said it has also adjusted the car’s chassis and equipped its performance cars with new shock absorbers.

2021 BMW M5 Competition: Equipment

Coming to the device, M5 Competition provides you with standard kits, such as adaptive dampers, M drive mode (including track mode), Laserlight headlights, ambient lighting, the aforementioned touch screen with smartphone connection, gesture control, and voice assistant , 12.3-inch digital instrument screen, electric and heated front sports seats, four-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, hands-free parking and 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system, to name a few.

Buyers can also choose other technologies such as sunroofs, carbon ceramic brakes, soft closing doors, ventilated front seats, front seats with massage function, rear seat entertainment and 360-degree cameras.

2021 BMW M5 Competition: Engine

Under the hood, the updated M5 Competition inherits the 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 of the upcoming high-performance sedan, outputting the same 625 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission to deliver power to all four wheels. Like the car before the facelift, BMW claims that the 0-100kph time is 3.3 seconds.

2021 BMW M5 Race: Competitors

Currently, the closest opponent in the M5 competition is Audi RS7, Because the Mercedes-AMG E 63 is not sold in India for the time being after it has undergone a facelift in the international market. The AMG sedan is expected to return to India in the form of a facelift in the near future.
