new Bloomberg A report on the Apple Watch provides more details on what’s expected this fall and next year. The 7th generation Apple Watch will gradually upgrade the current Series 6 models, thinning the display bezel, improving screen lamination and reducing the air gap between the glass and the touch screen. Series 7 also improves ultra-wideband (UWB) connectivity.
Subsequent 8th generation Apple Watches were expected to provide measurements of blood pressure, blood sugar, and alcohol levels. Bloomberg’s new report confirms that Apple is actually working on these features, but also mentions a special temperature sensor.

Blood glucose monitors will reportedly appear “a few years away”, allowing diabetics to monitor their blood glucose levels without actually drawing blood from their fingers. Temperature sensors are a more realistic feature that may appear in 2022.
Bloomberg says the 2022 Apple Watch release will also include an updated SE model and a brand new rugged extreme sports model.
