After Mahesh Babu left, Suman Mishra was appointed as the new CEO of Mahindra Electric

Mahindra Electric Mobility Ltd (MEML), a part of Mahindra Group, has appointed Suman Mishra as the new CEO of MEML, serving as a full-time director effective August 14, 2021. She will take over from Mahesh Babu, the current managing director and CEO of MEML, who has decided to seek opportunities outside the Mahindra Group.

Suman Mishra: Her role and responsibilities at MEML

In addition to serving as a full-time director of the CEO of MEML, she will also serve as the CEO-designate of Last Mile Mobility Business (LMM). She has served as the Senior Vice President of Business Transformation, Insight and Analysis (BIA) in the automotive industry. She will report to Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director of the Automotive and Agriculture Division of Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd.

Mishra has 20 years of global experience in sales, manufacturing, purchasing, product, cost and supply chain strategy and end-to-end performance transformation. She joined Mahindra Group in 2015 as the Senior Vice President of the Group Strategy Office and played a key role in formulating and implementing strategies for the automotive business, agriculture, hotels, real estate and electric vehicles.

Speaking of this news, Mahindra & Mahindra Automotive and Agriculture Division Executive Director and Mahindra Electric Mobility Chairman Rajesh Jejurikar said: “For many years, Mahesh has been an integral part of our growth process. He joined us in 1998, In the past 22 years, he has made significant contributions to the organization in various work in automotive product development, and then led Mahindra Electric as CEO. Suman Mishra: Background

Before joining Mahindra Group, she worked with Cipla and McKinsey, where she led the performance transformation and business transformation of several companies. Mishra is an MBA degree from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a computer engineer from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
