2022 Nissan GT-R: What’s new?
The two new special edition models of Nissan GT-R are designed to comply with Nismo specifications and are equipped with custom body panels, upgraded brakes and two special paint options. First of all, the T-spec and Track Edition models have been updated with carbon ceramic brakes, carbon fiber rear spoiler, limited badges and unique engine hoods.
The premium version of the T-spec car also has a unique interior with pearl suede trim, quilted Alcantara finish on the dashboard and designated seats in semi-aniline leather. It is also equipped with new Rays bronze forged alloy wheels, enlarged rims and lightweight components under suspension springs.
Track Edition models are also equipped with a carbon fiber roof and trunk lid, and are based on standard models, using the company’s internal tuning and performance department Nismo added technology.
They also received the Midnight Purple and Millennium Jade paint options to pay tribute to the older generation GT-Rs who used these colors before. All Premium Edition T-spec and Track Edition models will go on sale in the second half of October, with production limited to 100 units.
2022 Nissan GT-R: Powertrain details
In terms of machinery, the 2022 GT-R remains basically unchanged. It continues to draw power from a 565 horsepower, 633 Nm, 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine. There is also a higher specification version that can produce 591 horsepower. The engine is used in conjunction with a 6-speed DCT transmission with paddle shifters, and power is sent to all four wheels.
