2021 Volkswagen Taijun reservation and price announcement details

Volkswagen Taijun It is the next major release under the Volkswagen Group India 2.0 strategy Skoda Kushak. As the German automaker prepares for the September launch, we now understand Volkswagen Taigun reservations will be opened in India in mid-August 2021.

Volkswagen Too Gun: Design and Features

Since Volkswagen Taijun and Skoda Kushak are based on the same platform, the doors, roof, and greenhouse of the two SUVs are the same. However, Taijun still has his own unique identity. The uniqueness of the front instrument panel is its integrated headlights, two slatted chrome grilles and chrome inserts in the lower part of the bumper. At the rear, the taillight cluster spans the width of the tailgate, and the chrome trim on the lower bumper is even more.

Internally, although the switch devices of the two SUVs may be the same, the Taigun’s interior theme is simpler, with an infotainment screen integrated in the dashboard, and the design of the AC vents are also different. The decorative elements on the dashboard will also be significantly different.

In terms of features, the top SUV model will be equipped with a 10-inch infotainment system, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MyVolkswagen connection applications, automatic climate control, USB Type-C port, wireless charging pad, etc. Taigun will lead on Kushaq The place is its digital dashboard. In terms of safety, Taigun will be equipped with six airbags, ESC (standard configuration for all decorations), tire pressure deflation warning and ISOFIX child seat brackets, to name a few.

Volkswagen Taigun: engine and gearbox options

Volkswagen Taigun will be equipped with two turbo-gasoline engine options in the TSI engine series. The series will be equipped with a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo gasoline engine that can produce 115 horsepower and 175 Nm of torque. There will also be a larger 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine suitable for 150 horsepower and 250 Nm. Both engines will be equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission option as standard. However, they will get different automatic transmission options, 1.0 TSI with a 6-speed torque converter and 1.5 TSI with a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. The powertrain options are the same as Kushaq.

Volkswagen Taijun: Competition check

Volkswagen Taijun will be positioned in the mid-size SUV segment, which is currently one of the most popular segments in demand.It will adopt Hyundai Creta, Kia Sertos, Nissan kick And its own brother Skoda Kushaq. However, it is worth mentioning that the Taigun will be much smaller than models such as Creta or Selfos, but will still have the longest wheelbase in this segment. The price of Taigun is expected to be between Rs 1.05 lakh and Rs 1.7 lakh, similar to Kushaq.
