Second generation BMW The 2 Series Coupe has made its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and will be launched on the international market in early 2022.

2021 BMW 2 Series Coupe: Design
The new 2 Series Coupe has been completely redesigned while maintaining the overall profile of the previous model to make it consistent with the newer BMW models, such as 3 series with Z4.
It’s worth noting that the large vertical grille decorating the new 4 series, M3 and M4 absence. Instead, the 2 series uses a pair of more traditional horizontal “kidneys” with engine cooling dampers behind. All models have performance-inspired design cues that extend to the low front apron, abducted wheel arches and swollen rear hips.
The sporty M240i is known for its square sports exhaust pipe, custom front splitter, color-coded rear spoiler, grey decorative elements and unique 19-inch M Sport alloy wheels.
The M Sport styling package brings 18-inch alloy wheels, adaptive LED headlights, variable sports steering and many other optional accessories.
The performance connotation of the whole series is embodied in the four-seater cockpit. The standard front sports seats, optional heating and electric adjustment, are installed on the sports-style multifunctional steering wheel and the low-level instrument panel in front of the “driver-centric”.
2021 BMW 2 Series Coupe: engine and gearbox
From the launch, it will provide three appearances: gasoline 220i, equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, outputting 184 horsepower and 300 Nm to the rear axle; 220d, equipped with a mild hybrid 2.0-liter diesel four-cylinder engine with a power of 191 Horsepower and 400 Nm; and M240i xDrive, which has a 3.0-liter gasoline inline six-wheel and four-wheel drive. Before the full-fat M2 Coupé arrives in late 2022, it will be ranked first with 374hp and 500Nm of power.
Each model uses an 8-speed automatic transmission with start control and sprint mode functions. The M240i adds an electronic rear differential to match its higher handling, and its xDrive four-wheel drive system is programmed to provide a true BMW sports car stylish rear offset. The mid-range 244hp 230i variant to be launched in the summer of 2022 will also be equipped with a differential on the rear axle.
Compared with the previous M240i, this new cruising range is 34 horsepower higher, reaching 100 km/h from a standstill in 4.3 seconds, and a top speed of 155 mph.
2021 BMW 2 Series Coupe: Dimensions
The design of this two-door coupe is focused on agility and vitality. It is slightly larger than its predecessor, measuring 4,537 mm long and 1,838 mm wide, but 28 mm shorter and 1,390 mm tall. The wheelbase has also been lengthened by 51mm.
BMW 2 Series in India
The German automaker has not announced any official plans to bring the new 2-series coupe to India.However, BMW India did launch 2 Series Gran Coupe In our market earlier this year, it even Launched the first generation of M2 Competition Coupe at the end of 2018.
