Audi India has announced that the 2021 RS5 will be launched in India on August 9, 2021.The new Audi RS5 will join S5 Sportback Launched in March this year RS7 Sportback Audi is in the lineup of performance models in India. Traditionally, Audi brought the RS5 to India as a two-door coupe, but this time it was a four-door Sportback model that came to our shores.

Audi RS5 Sportback: Design
Compared with the two-door coupe at the time Launched in India in 2018, The updated RS5 looks more aggressive and has two more doors. It has new headlights, redesigned air intakes and a larger integrated grille. There is also a three-part air intake above the front grille, inspired by the UR Quattro in 1984. As seen on other RS models, the wheel arches of the new RS5 have been extended by 40 mm.
The optional dark headlight bezel also helps distinguish the sporty RS model from the standard model. At the back, the reshaped diffuser, new taillights and subtle design updates are also part of the package. The sloped roofline of the new Sportback model adds a beautiful silhouette to the RS5. RS5 Sportback will be equipped with 19-inch wheels as standard, and can be equipped with larger 20-inch wheels.
Audi RS5 Sportback: Interior
Internally, the overall layout and instrument panel design remain basically unchanged compared to the previous model. However, the infotainment system has been completely overhauled and equipped with a new stand-alone 10.1-inch touch screen, using Audi’s new MMI acoustic response technology, slightly tilted towards the driver. The new system also eliminated the old rotary controller on the center console.
In addition, the car is also equipped with an updated version of Audi’s 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster and RS-specific touch functions, such as steering wheel, sports seats and Alcantara decorative elements.
Audi RS5 Sportback: Engine
Under the hood, the 2021 Audi RS5 Sportback remains unchanged from the previously released RS5 two-door coupe. This means it is powered by a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that can produce 450 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. The engine is used in conjunction with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the Audi Quattro all-wheel drive system provides power for all four wheels. Therefore, it can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. The optional RS package will be further increased to 280 km/h.
Audi RS5 Sportback: expected price and competitors
The last version of the Audi RS5 was launched in India at a price of 1.1 crore rupees (ex-showroom). The four-door model after the facelift is priced at approximately Rs 1.5 crore (ex-showroom). It will be comparable to India’s BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C63.
